International Order

I was thrilled to receive my first order for a disc from New Zealand. This was completed this week for a combination at Medium level and we wish them sucess for the season.

Competition Success

My horses have been going very well in the freestyle classes the last couple of months. At Duchy earlier this month Berry won the Novice / Elem classes with 77% and 74%. MJ won the Med / Ad Med classes with 74% and 75%. We had more success the following week-end at St Leonards where Berry again won the Novice / Elem with 78% and 73% and Belle won the Ad Med and came 2nd in the PSG with 75% and 72%. I was especially pleased with the marks and comments on the music and the choreography.

My advertising boards are now finished and look great so keep an eye out for these at our local venues.

Cadence will be sponsoring some local dressage events coming up over the next few months and we look forward to getting out and about for these.

Success in the Novice Freestyle

We would like to congratulate Sandy McSweeny and Kay Palmer for some super results using Cadence discs in the Novice Freestyle Qualifiers. Scoring 73.6% and 78.6% we wish them lots of luck for the Regionals next month.

Practical Workshop Sun 18th January

The Practical Workshop for Holsworthy Riding Club at St Leonard's on 18th Januray was a huge success. The first part of the morning was looking at a horse working in all 3 paces and getting a feel for the fit of the walk, trot, canter and which styles suited and didn't suit. We then moved on the the rider's getting their own horses out and riding to music they had bought along and to some music from the Cadence library. By the end of the session everyone had an idea of what kind of music / style they liked and I hope to have inspired them to have a go at getting a disc complied and a floor plan designed.

Theory Workshop Weds 19th

The Theory Workshop for Holsworthy Riding Club at "The Crown & Sceptre" on Weds 19th Nov was a huge success. We had a really good turn out and I was thrilled with everyone's enthusiasm and positive attitude to give Dressage to Music a go. We now look forward to our Practical Workshop at St Leonards on Sun 7th December.

Success at the Riding Club Championships

Katy Deithrick and Karen Franklin were placed 4th at the Riding Club National Dressage to Music Pairs earlier this month. Katy and Karen had never done pairs before and came to Cadence for the music and the choroegraphy. Both their horses Indie and Jester are all round riding club types and all 4 of them really enjoyed the experience and can't wait till next year.

Charity Demo in Aid of St Luke's Hospcie

Cadence ran a successful demo/display at St Leonards, Polson on Fri 29th August 2014 by kind permission of Andy and Kathryn Reeve in aid of St Luke's Hospice. We raised £855.79 and would like to thank everyone who came along. It was a fun informative evening, starting with a demonstration of the paces and matching the music to the walk, trot and canter. We then had some fun with some fancy dress displays by Clare Deithrick, a Pairs routine designed by Cadence by Katy Deithrick and Karen Franklin and a side saddle demonstraion by Ali MelHuish and members of Area 16 Side Saddle Assoc. The evening was a huge success and we will being doing something similar next year.
